Currently in development, I am building a custom, multi-page website for this local Aberdeen, Scotland roofing contractor. I am writing original copy structured to target key local search terms across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for their full range of roofing services. Also currently in development, I am building a custom multi-page website for The Dispensary Bar—Scotland’s only hot air balloon mobile craft cocktail bar. Operating since 2017, they cater house parties, weddings, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds across Scotland. I am structuring and writing SEO-optimised content around high-intent event hiring keywords, designing an intuitive site architecture focused on driving direct booking enquiries, and ensuring the entire build is fully optimised for SEO, GEO, and AIO.

I created a near-exact replica of a local Aberdeen, UK roofing company’s existing WordPress website on Squarespace, then added new pages, images, text and features. I then optimised the entire site for SEO/GEO, including rewriting existing text, resulting in it ranking on the first page of Google search for their four primary search terms. This also saved the company hundreds of pounds per month in “SEO and maintenance fees” and was a full 15 pages at turnover.

This retired best-selling author of some 70 publications (mostly cozy mysteries and romance novels) wanted a website that would list all the books she wrote under each of her pen names with some basic information about each book including where to purchase them or find more information on them. I built her this eight-page website from scratch with no templates, organised her full backlist chronologically by pen name, incorporated her existing book descriptions and biography, and optimised the entire site for SEO and AI search visibility. I also currently maintain this website.

Reganland.com is a travel website I recently built, focused on lesser-known destinations across France. This is my own personal project, and I've included it here because every word of copy and all of the photography is my own, and the whole site is optimised for SEO and AI search optimization in the same way I approach client work. It also shows the breadth of what I can create beyond small business sites - a completely different subject, with a different tone and style of writing than is found elsewhere in my portfolio.

Flashback to 2005 and the first website I ever built. Yes, technology has advanced somewhat since then! As primitive as it looks, it was fairly contemporary for that time period. And it served the purposes of my then-employer by listing the types of services we offered, our inventory of used cars and parts, directions to the shop and more.
Mats sold the business some time ago. Under new ownership and a new name, it is still located on the same corner in Portland, Oregon.
