Question 1

How much does a small business website cost?

Accepted Answer

A professional Squarespace website build by Regan Web Design starts at £295 for a 6-page site with up to 5 images and 500 words. If you want additional pages, images, text or if you want me to source images or video for you, I do charge a little extra for those things, but they can easily be worked into your package or added on after the fact. You’ll get a formal quote detailing every single charge to review before you commit.

Question 2

How long will it take to get my website built?

Accepted Answer

If all text, images and information are provided, Regan Web Design can build a 6-page website in as little as five days. Larger websites, or websites that need extensive copywriting or SEO for lots of images, can take several weeks or longer. Before you commit, you’ll be given an estimated completion date. You’ll also get a link so you can see the progress I’m making on your new or rebuilt website at any time.

Question 3

Do I need to know anything about technology to have a website built?

Accepted Answer

Not a thing. All you need to do is provide information and answer questions about your business. If you can send an email, you have all the technical knowledge required.

Question 4

Will I be able to update my website myself after it's built?

Accepted Answer

Most likely, yes, even with limited experience. That’s one of the reasons Regan Web Design prefers to build websites on Squarespace - one of the most user-friendly website platforms in the world. For those who’d rather not handle updates themselves, my services can be retained on a monthly basis so you never have to worry about a thing. We can even expand your site over time, adding features like new pages or blog entries. Once your new website is up and running, we’ll tailor a plan just for you.

Question 5

What happens if something goes wrong with my website after it's built?

Accepted Answer

First, check the Squarespace Status page. If your issue isn’t related to a system issue at Squarespace, just get in touch with Regan Web Design. For clients on a maintenance or retainer package, issues are dealt with promptly as part of that service. For clients who prefer a one-off solution, support is available at an hourly rate. Either way, you’ll be taken care of as promptly as possible.
